Thriving Minds Collective Ltd, trading here as The Bromley Psychologists, sets a small number of cookies on this website. This page runs through what each one does; our privacy policy covers the rest of how your data is handled.

First, what a cookie even is

Cookies are tiny text files a website leaves on your device so it can recognise you again, whether that’s on your next visit or as you move between pages during the same one. They’re how a site remembers choices you’ve made without asking you to repeat them.

The one you can’t switch off

A single essential cookie records whether you’ve already accepted or declined the optional cookies below, so the banner doesn’t reappear on every page you open. It’s necessary for that function alone, so there’s no option to disable it.

The ones you choose

Two tools run only once you’ve agreed to them through the banner. Google Analytics 4 shows us which pages get visited and how people move between them. Microsoft Clarity adds anonymised behavioural detail, such as where on a page people click or how far they scroll. Both are set up to strip out anything that would identify you personally, as far as each provider allows.

The one that checks you’re human

Our get-started form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells genuine visitors apart from automated bots. It works by setting a token that expires quickly, rather than following you around the web afterwards.

Changing what you’ve agreed to

The banner asks for your choice the first time you land on the site, and you can reset that choice at any point by clearing stored site data in your browser and coming back. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies more broadly, though that can stop some parts of the site behaving as intended. If Analytics specifically is what concerns you, Google publishes its own opt-out tool.

Who actually sets these cookies

The cookies described above come from Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare respectively, each under its own terms and conditions, none of which we control directly. None of them are used here for advertising, and none follow you onto other websites.
